NEW! Summer Menu Launch

We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new summer menus in our Calvert’s Restaurant and 1897 Coffee Shop.

A must-visit this summer, our new cheese-themed menus have been created using our flagship range of handcrafted cheeses alongside seasonal, local produce and offer delicious food and fantastic value for money.

Carefully curated by our Head Chef, Jordan Tyson, come and relax against the stunning backdrop of Yorkshire Dales scenery and enjoy our special offer of 2 courses for £14.95 and 3 courses for £19.95 across a range of delicious dishes including Bacon, Black Pudding & Wensleydale Blue Cheese Salad, Pan-Fried Sea Bass served with Mediterranean Vegetables and Roasted Sweet Potato and Salsa Verde, as well as scrumptious starters such as Roast Beetroot Bruschetta with Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries Cheese, and Chicken and Oak Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Croquettes.

The menu also features sharing platters, including the Wensleydale Cheese & Charcuterie and the Wensleydale Creamery Cheese Sharing Board, which are perfect for sampling the artisan cheese range with friends.

The Creamery’s handcrafted cheese also takes centre stage in our 1897 Coffee Shop this summer, where visitors can choose from three new menus: Ultimate Cheese on Toast, Griddled Cheese Toasties and Homemade Warm Cheese Scones. Our new dishes include Wensleydale Blue on sourdough bread topped with sauteed mushrooms and served with Rosebud Preserves Red Onion & Port Chutney; Naturally Oaked Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale on sourdough bread with grilled chicken and avocado salsa; and Kit Calvert Old-Style Wensleydale on bloomer bread with confit tomatoes and Spiced Apple Chutney.

The range of Griddled Cheese Toasties features a host of tasty options including Yorkshire Cheddar Cheese with BBQ pulled pork and caramelised onions; Wensleydale Blue Cheese with grilled mushrooms and Red Onion & Port Chutney; and Yorkshire Cheese Rarebit with Yorkshire Ham and Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese.

Our team are also taking our popular home-made scones to the next level, with the launch of an innovative cheese scone menu!  Served warm with a slice of cheese and locally made chutney, the new menu includes Wensleydale Blue, Yorkshire Wensleydale & Apricots, and the classic Yorkshire Wensleydale and Double Gloucester cheese scone.
