A Celebration of Game, Dinner and Dance raises over £13,000 at The Wensleydale Creamery

We were proud to host a Charity Game Dinner; a celebration of game, dinner & dancing at our Creamery on Saturday evening, 28th April.

We hosted the Yorkshire Dales Moorland Group’s event in our very own, Calvert’s Restaurant, where we enjoyed stunningly tasty food thanks to our wonderful chefs and L&A Dent Game Dealers who generously provided all of the game for the menu.

Guests enjoyed a 5 course menu showcasing glorious game and of course, our famous Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese. Delights on the menu included Wild Duck and Ginger and Soy Spring Rolls, Bleiker’s Smoked Salmon and Horseradish Blinis, and Black Pudding and Wholegrain Mustard Bon Bons for the delicious canapes. Starters saw a stunning Farmhouse Pheasant and Duck terrine with Beetroot Sourdough with a Cranberry and Orange Relish. The Main Event was a highly skilled Grouse, Pheasant and Partridge Ballotine with a Chicken and Apple stuffing, Champ Potato and Seasonal Vegetables. The sharing dessert was a delectable Chocolate and Hazelnut Tart served with Stamfrey Farm Clotted Cream, and Lemon Posset with Rhubarb Compot and Home-made Shortbread. To round off, we served up our award-winning Yorkshire Wensleydale Creamery Cheese Board with Home-made Oat Biscuits and Chutney, including the tasty Kit Calvert, Wensleydale Blue, Yorkshire Brie, Yorkshire Cheddar, Naturally Smoked Cheddar and Blue 16! There was an auction of premium sporting lots and a raffle which saw guests at the evening raise an outstanding £13,000 for the following charities and worthy causes;
