A cracking new partnership with Sawley Kitchen 

Whilst we love to bang the drum for a quirky cheese partnership here at Wensleydale Creamery, you really can’t go wrong with a classic, artisan cracker.

We may know a thing or two about cheese, but we also know what pairs perfectly with our handcrafted range, and our new partnership with fellow Yorkshire artisans Sawley Kitchen, extolls the virtues of bringing together artisan products, created with care, in the most delicious way.

Based in Ripon, close to the edge of the Dales, Sawley Kitchen are a family run bakery producing a delicious array of award-winning sweet and savoury products from their bake house.

Founded and run by the Jaques family, and with impressive backgrounds in hospitality including fellow Yorkshire icon Betty’s and the prestigious Sawley Arms, they threw open their doors in October 2012, and with the help of their first industrial oven, fondly known as Bridgitte, set about creating their range of handcrafted artisan treats, picking up a raft of prestigious industry awards and fans along the way!

Now stocked across the country in the finest farm shops, delis and cafes, you’ll also find Sawley Kitchen biscuits in the rooms of some seriously smart 5*hotels including The Ritz London, The Chester Grosvenor and The Grand in York!

Specialising in handcrafted delights, using traditional family recipes, we’ve recently partnered with their passionate team to stock their range of products online as part of the Wensleydale Deli and wow(!) do they make the flavours in our cheese sing!

A fan of our original Yorkshire Wensleydale or Naturally Oak-Smoked Cheddar? Try their twice baked Malted Barley, with their delicious malty and earthy flavours complimenting the savoury notes in both cheeses perfectly.

Turn up the heat with their Smoked Paprika Savoury Crackers, whose smoky, nutty notes and perfectly balanced warmth, are a match made in heaven with our Naturally Oak-Smoked Cheddar, working in harmony to enhance the delicate smoky flavours in each.

Looking for a sweeter treat?  Sawley’s Cranberry & Walnut crackers with their slight chewiness are a match made in heaven for both our Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries and Yorkshire Wensleydale & Stem Ginger and are a grown up snack or tasty finisher to round off a meal without reaching for the biscuit tin!
