Immerse yourself in the sights, smells and flavours of the glorious Yorkshire Dales this Christmas with a special festive trip to the Creamery.

With lots to see, do and eat, Wensleydale Creamery and the surrounding area is the perfect place for a winters day out, with opportunities to get a head start on your Christmas shopping as well as indulge in a real taste of Yorkshire with Christmas lunch in Calvert’s available from 20^th November – 31^st December.

Bring the whole family and learn about what makes are cheese so special.  Watch our team create Yorkshire Wensleydale in front of your eyes in our demonstration room, before testing your knowledge with our Cheese Trail Quiz.  You’ll find delicious cheese pairings in our Taste of Yorkshire Tasting Room and discover new favourites to take home ando create your own show stopping cheese board for the festive season.

Don’t forget to have your picture taken with Wallace and Gromit, Yorkshire Wensleydale’s most famous fans and take a peek inside the Creamery to see our talented team of cheesemakers hard at work creating our delicious, handmade range.

In the Visitors Centre relax in Calvert’s Restaurant and in our 1897 Coffee Shop and enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, whilst tucking into our range of tasty cheese themed and seasonal dishes including three cheese quiche, toasties as well as our Wensleydale Cheese Bar, our take on tapas style dining and perfect for sharing with friends and family as part of your visit.

Don’t forget to stop by our Cheese and Gift shop to get stocked up on those all important Christmas gifts and tasty treats for the festive season.

Our gift shop is packed with a huge range of quirky gifts, from ceramics and prints, toys and chocolates, and you can also sample our entire range of cheese in our Cheese Shop, and select from a range of delicious artisan accompaniments to take home and enjoy.

Join is for our popular Christmas Shopping Evenings on Thursday 7^th and Tuesday 19^th December.

Hosted in the Visitor Centre, you can indulge in complimentary mince pies and mulled wine whilst you shop as taking advantage of our Build You Own Hamper and gift-wrapping services.  We’ll be offering visitors 20% off our entire range, and 10% off all alcohol (excluding existing offers) so you can really get ahead with your Christmas shopping!

Calvert’s will also be open on both evenings between 5pm – 7.30pm, serving our Autumn menu alongside our Christmas specials, so why not make a night of it and bring your friends along for dinner.
