The event, which moved to Leyburn market place last year, attracted over 6,000 visitors over the weekend, who enjoyed the very best of food and drink the Dales has to offer. The Wensleydale Creamery, based at Hawes in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, has teamed up with Yorkshire’s rising star and award-winning pastel artist, Lucy Pittaway, to host an ongoing art exhibition at its Visitor Centre.
Join us this February Half Term at our Visitor Centre in Hawes, and enjoy the new Cheese-making Viewing Gallery in our Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience – open from Friday 17th February. With a host of exciting facts and touch screens showing behind the scenes footage of the cheese-making process, visitors can enjoy an interactive insight into how we handcraft our Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese. The Chelsea Pensioners enjoyed a taste of Yorkshire as The Wensleydale Creamery took centre stage at the annual Ceremony of the Christmas Cheeses at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London today.
