Celebrating the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival 2023

Join us at the Creamery this October to celebrate the annual Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival.

A huge celebration of food and drink in the region, the festival, which takes place across the weekend of 6-9^th October, partners with local businesses throughout the National Park in hosting their own special events, menus and tastings to mark the occasion… and of course we’re getting involved!

Join us in our Demonstration Room and watch one of our team create Yorkshire Wensleydale before taking a peek inside the Creamery to see our talented team at work from the viewing gallery.

Here you’ll also find lots of interactive things to do and learn. Put your cheese knowledge to the test and take NEW Cheese Trail as part of your visit and discover what makes Yorkshire Wensleydale so special. Learn out about the fascinating the 1000-year history of cheese making here in the Dales and how the Creamery has evolved and created new flavours and products. Perfect for the whole family.

You’ll love our Taste of Yorkshire Pairing Room where you’ll be able to sample our delicious range of hand-crafted cheeses and learn about the perfect pairings for each. From fruitcake to chutney, wine to whisky, there’s something to tickle everyone’s taste buds.

Joining us for lunch or a light bite? You’ll find a delicious cheese themed menus including our new Wensleydale Yorkshire Cheese Bar, our take on tapas style dining in Calvert’s Restaurant. Pick and choose which cheeses to try along with some delicious, perfectly paired accompaniments, and discover your new favourite pairing! Perfect for sharing with friends and family as part of your visit. Calvert’s cheese themed menu also features a number of delicious dishes and cakes including our ever-popular cheese on toast, three-cheese macaroni and Wensleydale sourdough pizzas.

Looking for a light bite? Head to the 1897 Coffee Shop for homemade soups, sandwiches and snacks or enjoy a delicious Brymor ice cream in our dog friendly garden with stunning panoramic views across the Yorkshire Dales.
