On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September, we’ll be kicking off our 2018 Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival with a two-day celebration of the Dales rich-cheese making heritage at the Wensleydale Creamery, Hawes. With market stalls, cheese tasting, pairing and grading, cookery demonstrations and much more.

Meet amazing suppliers in our local produce marquee, which will be home to 35 different stallholders with goodies to enjoy on the day and to take home. Stalls range from homemade preserves, crafts, cheese stalls, beer, gin, baked goods and ice-cream – udderly brilliant!

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance will be stopping by and will give children (and adults, too!) a chance to sit in their helicopter.

There will be a bouncy castle and children’s entertainment, as well as street food stalls and a Prosecco Van!

Enjoy free entry to Cheese Festival 2018, Cookery Demonstrations and browse the stalls and enjoy live music throughout the day.

Cookery Demonstration Timetable; Watch different types of cheese being prepped and wonderful dishes being created. Local chefs will demonstrate their talents – and you’ll get a taste of the action too!

Cheese Tasting & Pairing Workshops; Learn all about the wonderful world of cheese, local cheese makings and understand different flavours and tastes!

11am – 11.45am

1.30pm – 2.15pm (Please note this workshop will contain alcohol, not suitable for Under 18’s)

3.45pm – 4.30pm (Saturday only)
