Cheese Festival 2018

The time is near!

We absolutely cannot wait for next weekend! Yes, we’ll assure you again, a Festival of Cheese!

Join us at Wensleydale Creamery for a weekend of celebrating cheese, glorious cheese on 15th & 16th September, 9am – 5pm!

We will have a large marquee playing host to fantastic local producers. Shop, taste and sample local food, drinks, gifts and crafts.

Relax and listen to local musicians and bands, including The Moonbeams, Colin Bailey and Rosie Allenby. Enjoy a glass or two of prosecco, indulge in some baked brie, gourmet cheeseburgers or moreish halloumi kebabs.

A free ticket to the festival gives you access to the marquee and cookery demonstrations where you can watch wonderful dishes being created by fantastic local chefs!

Cookery Demonstration Timetable –

9.30am – 10.30am – Esther Lee (Saturday) / Fearne & Rosie (Sunday)

12pm – 1pm – Yorkshire Dama 

2.30pm – 3.30pm – The Churchmouse at Barbon

You can purchase tickets to our exclusive Cheese Tasting & Pairing Workshops! Where you can learn all about the wonderful world of cheese, local cheese makings and understand different flavours and tastes!

11am – 11.45am – Judy Bell: The story of Shepherd’s Purse and a History of Blue Cheese (Saturday) / The art of cheese-grading and a guide to the Wensleydale Creamery cheese range (Sunday)

1.30pm – 2.15pm – Food and Drink Pairing Workshop with Noveltea and Rosebud Preserves: (Please note this workshop will contain alcohol, not suitable for Under 18’s)

3.45pm – 4.30pm – The art of cheese-grading and a guide to the Wensleydale Creamery cheese range (Saturday only).

We’ll also have a bouncy castle, fun activities for children, even more, live music and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance with their amazing virtual reality headsets!
