CANCELLED – Christmas Shopping Evening Tuesday 7th December 5 – 8:30pm

Unfortunately, due to the adverse weather forecast & warnings issued today, in the interests of the safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers we have taken the decision to cancel tonight’s Christmas Shopping evening, which was due to take place at our Visitor Centre 5-8:30pm. We apologise for the late cancellation and any inconvenience & disappointment that this may cause. However, don’t forget, we are hosting our 2nd Christmas Shopping night next week on Thursday 16th December & look forward to welcoming you.

The perfect gift for anybody at Christmas! Our wonderful team will gift wrap it for you too! Relax in Calvert’s restaurant and cosy up next to the roaring fire whilst delighting in festive sharing boards between 5pm – 7.30pm. Dishes designed to warm you up on a cold winter evening. You will also be able to shop our unique Christmas Limited Edition flavours including Mince Pie, Champagne & Orange and popular favourite, Winter Warmer with mulled wine, cinnamon, and fruity, sweet cranberries. Meet local producers, sample their delicious produce and discover how a whole host of local food & drink pairs perfectly with our iconic, creamy, crumbly Yorkshire Wensleydale. Indulge in complimentary mince pies and mulled wine as you enjoy festive entertainment. All about our Festive Entertainment: BlueBoxt is a voluntary run group based in Wensleydale offering creative and Performing arts opportunities for young people to experience industry-styled experiences and mentoring support. Current project activities include Leyburn Youth Drama Group, Musical Cultures and Play Record Perform where participants help shape the activities and work alongside industry professionals to develop their knowledge and skills. BlueBoxt also tour nationally with professional theatre and staged concert productions ideally suited to community halls, arts centres and theatres alike. Members of the Play Record Project are excited to be returning to the Wensleydale Creamery to help create the perfect Christmas. They will be performing a selection of festival favourites and popular songs from across the decades. Also performing will be vocalists Amy Fudali and Colin Bailey presenting a selection of songs for their stage shows A Classic Christmas (2019) and A Magical Christmas Concert (2021).
