Join us in our Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience and watch our team demonstrate how we handcraft our cheese and create that famous creamy, crumbly texture and learn about its fascinating 1000-year history, rooted in the Yorkshire Dales.   

Find out what perfectly pairs with each flavour in our Taste of Yorkshire Tasting area and discover your new favourites alongside a whole host of delicious accompaniments, so you can create your own show-stopping cheeseboard at home for those cosy autumn nights in front of the fire.

Take a peek inside the Creamery too and see our skilled cheesemakers hard at work, creating our world-famous cheese using local milk and time-honoured recipes and techniques. 

Visiting us on a weekend?  Children under 16 get free entry

Children under 16 get free entry to the Cheese Experience every weekend and during October half term, can also get free entry during the week too, as well a host of special offers in our Calvert’s restaurant, making a day out with the family both delicious and cost effective!

Join us for lunch or a light bite in Calvert’s or our 1897 Coffee Shop and enjoy panoramic views of the stunning Yorkshire Dales, enjoying the changing seasonal views from the comfort of your table.  We’ve got lots of delicious dishes on our cheese themed menus for you to indulge in, featuring lots of tasty local produce too and keep an eye on our website and social media for our seasonal specials to get a real taste of Yorkshire as part of your visit.
