An iconic brand with a passion for all things Yorkshire, Masham based Black Sheep Brewery are brewing pioneers.

Founded in 1992 by Paul Theakston, the Black Sheep team thrive on a mixture of tradition and innovation, using the Yorkshire Square Fermentation system to create their range of award-winning beers and lagers which are sold throughout the region and beyond.

Long term friends of the Creamery, we’ve partnered with them to create some of our most popular products including our Fountains Gold Cheddar with Black Sheep Riggwelter Ale and our Yorkshire Black Sheep Riggwelter Ale Pickle with its dark richness pairing perfectly with our smooth and creamy Fountains Gold Cheddar.

The Black Sheep Brewery team will be joining us here at the Creamery as part of our Meet the Maker events on Wednesday 16^th November from 11-3pm.  Come along and sample their range of delicious beers and find out which of our cheeses pairs perfectly with them.
