Friends of Wensleydale Spotlight: Stuart Clarkson

Stuart Clarkson is a professional craftsman and designer based in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, North Yorkshire. Mostly known within the furniture, interior and exhibition design industries for his unique and evolving design styles and concepts.

Stuart trained at Jacob Kramer Art College in Leeds, and after leaving there, worked for a number of companies building up his knowledge, skills, contacts and portfolio. In June 2007 he started his own design consultancy business ‘Stuart Clarkson Design’ working for Global clients in all areas of design and development. The business has developed and grown and he is continuing to build up the portfolio, client base and expanding into new areas of design where his skills and knowledge can be used.

‘Simply Stuart Clarkson’ was born out of his passion for design, the Yorkshire dales and its stunning landscape.  His creative spirit and design background has inspired the collection of handmade, handcrafted products, gifts & homeware. Every piece in his collection is hand finished in his workshop, making a unique and special gift which can be enjoyed for many years to come.
