May Half Term Tasting Events at Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre

If you’re anything like us here at Wensleydale Creamery and love to get out and explore during half term holidays…join us at one of our tasting events during the May break!

Join one of our cheese experts and the suppliers below as they show you how to pair our delicious cheese with artisan jams, olives, chutney and oils from local suppliers. An exciting day out for both you and your taste buds!

Monday 28th May – Chilli Jam Man;  Simon AKA The Chilli Jam Man started making chilli jams to spice up his food after living in Australia for a few years, where he fell in love with South East Asian flavours. Come along to sample his Multi Award Winning range of  Chilli Jams, Sauces and Dried Goods.

Tuesday 29th May – Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil; Husband and Wife duo produce Award Winning Oils, Dressings and Mayonnaise made from our finest cold pressed Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil. Find out how they bottle and blend their stunning products on their farm and how you can ‘Dip, Drizzle, Roast, Bake and Fry’ with their range!

Thursday 31st May – Raydale Preserves; A Family run business established by husband and wife, Lesley and Derek Kettlewell in 1978. From topping strawberries to sticking on labels, each stage of production is done by hand at their farm in Raydale, where they produce stunning Jams, Chutneys, Curds, Jellies, Mustards and Marmalade.

Friday 1st June – Silver & Green Olives; Since 2007, Silver and Green Olives, AKA Dan and Rachel, have been producing and sourcing authentic Mediterranean delicacies! Their range includes scrumptious olives, antipasti, tapas, meze, olive oil and nuts.

Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd  June – Mrs Picklepot Pickled Onions; The team at Mrs Pickepot make quality, no nonsense products, and have a developed a wide range of tasty piccalillis, pickled onions and chutneys. Come and try their wide range of products that are all hand made and see how they take historic homemade recipes and add a modern twist!
