National Vegetarian Week, 15th – 21st May

Did you know that all of our cheese here at Wensleydale Creamery is vegetarian?

Made using milk from local, family run dairy farms here in North Yorkshire, they’re created using time honoured recipes and traditional methods, and are as versatile as they are delicious!

As well as being the perfect snack to nibble on or the centre of any great cheese board, our cheese is also fantastic to cook with!

Recipe Inspiration

If you’re looking for some recipe inspiration this National Vegetarian Week, look no further than some of our favourite recipes below, that are big on flavour and vegetarian to boot!

Try our Chargrilled Summer Greens with Yorkshire Wensleydale, the perfect light summer lunch or dinner.  It’s super speedy to make and packed with flavour, with the runny poached egg complimenting the chargrilled vegetables perfectly alongside a crumble of delicious Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese.

Fancy something a little sweet?  Try this Pear and Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries Galette recipe from the team at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil. Using our ever-popular Yorkshire Wensleydale & Cranberries cheese, it’s a deliciously simple pudding best served warm with lashings of lightly whipped cream.
