Our exciting cheese themed menu showcases the best of our handcrafted artisan cheese including Ultimate Cheese on Toast, Griddled Cheese Toasties and Home-made Warm Cheese Scones.
Tuck into delicious Ultimate Cheese on Toast varieties, which feature some of our iconic cheeses, such as Wensleydale Blue on sourdough bread topped with sauteed mushrooms, served with Rosebud Preserves Red Onion & Port Chutney; Naturally Oaked Smoked Yorkshire Wensleydale on sourdough bread with grilled chicken and avocado salsa; and Kit Calvert Old-Style Wensleydale on bloomer bread with confit tomatoes and Spiced Apple Chutney.
Or on a cold day, enjoy Griddled Cheese Toasties including Yorkshire Cheddar Cheese with BBQ Pulled Pork and Caramelised Onions; Wensleydale Blue Cheese with Grilled Mushrooms and Red Onion & Port Chutney; and Yorkshire Rarebit Cheese with Yorkshire Ham and Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese.
Fancy a light bite? Our popular home-made scones are served warm with a slice of cheese and pot of locally made chutney. Varieties feature Wensleydale Blue, Yorkshire Wensleydale & Apricots, and the classic Yorkshire Wensleydale and Double Gloucester cheese scone.
Our Visitor Centre Director, Trish Cannon says: “It’s so exciting to be launching our brand-new cheese themed menus. Our cheese on toast and homemade scones have always been extremely popular, so we wanted to expand our offering to create new and unique menus to showcase our speciality cheeses for which we are so well known.
The aim is to offer our customers something new this spring, that oozes amazing taste and offers exceptional value too.
