Official Launch of Flavours of Herriot Country Awards with ‘Big Cheese’ at the Helm

Flavours of Herriot Country Awards is calling on food heroes throughout Hambleton and Richmondshire to enter the 2013 awards, which this year sees us as the headline sponsor!

The awards, which are supported by Welcome to Yorkshire and were officially launched this week at the Creamery, are inviting local food and drink businesses from Hambleton and Richmondshire to put themselves forward – whether they offer beautiful breakfasts, premier pub grub, first-class fish and chips or tantalising teas.

David Hartley, Managing Director at The Wensleydale Creamery, is delighted to sponsor the awards this year. “We have so many fine producers in this area of Yorkshire that it’s great to be able to help shout about them and give the recoginition that they deserve.”

Now in its ninth year, the 2012 event saw hundreds of businesses enter the awards, with mystery shoppers helping the judges decide who were the crème de la crème. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on 22 November 2013 at Thirsk Racecourse.
