Join us in our Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience and learn about the fascinating history of cheese making here in the Yorkshire Dales. 

Children under 16 get FREE ENTRY this half term between 10 -18th February.

With live demonstrations, where one of our talented team will make our world-famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese in front of your eyes to our interactive experience where you can find out just what makes our cheese so special, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.  Taste your favourite cheeses and discover new ones in our ‘Taste of Yorkshire’ Tasting Area and don’t forget to take a peek inside the Creamery too!

Why not out your cheese knowledge to the test and try your hand at our Cheese Trail Quiz and don’t forget to find the Wensleydale Bears along the way, each one holding a letter which spells out a very special word!

Come and meet our newest arrivals, Wallace and Gromit, along with their friends.  Created by the talented Hawes Yarnbombers, these fantastic figures spent last summer in Hawes Marketplace raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and have now found a permanent home here at the Creamery – they have to be seen to be believed! 

Joining us for lunch?  You’ll be spoilt for choice in our 1897 Coffee Shop with views over stunning countryside, or dine with us in Calvert’s Restaurant, where children can eat for just £5 from our Children’s Menu during the half term break.

We’ve also got some fantastic February specials available as well as our delicious 2 courses for £15 offer, meaning that you can enjoy a main course and pudding prepared fresh by our talented team.

Don’t forget to pop into our much-loved cheese and gift shop too, where you can sample our entire range of handcrafted cheeses and choose from a huge range of locally sourced accompaniments to take home and enjoy.  Our gift shop is packed with carefully selected gifts from toys and games to home wear and sweet treats to mark your visit too.
