We were delighted to be shortlisted in this year’s Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards, in the Large Visitor Attraction category. The list of finalists comprised some amazing businesses, and the competition was fierce! Feedback from the judges included: Excellent cheese-making demonstrations Friendly, bright and efficient staff Enticing home-made food A modern, bright and spacious building Well stocked shop aimed at all ages, with lots of local produce Excellent car parking On the night of the awards our team enjoyed a fantastic event, with delicious food and great entertainment.... This year’s Great Yorkshire Show saw the first Cheese & Dairy Show in the brand new food hall; a multi-million pound investment offering more space, updated facilities, and a state of the art exhibition hall to be proud of. The Wensleydale Creamery, the famous Yorkshire Dales cheese-maker, is celebrating after another successful year at the Great Yorkshire Cheese & Dairy Show. The Creamery picked up a grand total of 15 awards, with a GOLD and ‘Best in Category’ award for its Yorkshire Yogurt (range of four flavours). This year’s British Cheese Awards took place at the Royal Bath & West Show, on Wednesday 1st June. Cheese and dairy producers from all over Britain enter their products to be judged by panel of industry experts, and this is the first major “competition” of the season.
