Yorkshire Post Rural Awards 2019 Winners

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce we are the winners of The Yorkshire Post’s Rural High Street and Rural Retailer Award & Rural Tourist Attraction Award for 2019!

The Yorkshire Post Rural Awards is a celebration of the vital role the rural and agricultural community play across the county. In Yorkshire, we’re blessed with some of the best countryside and the awards recognise the dedicated individuals, organisations and businesses who are the beating heart of Yorkshire’s proud countryside. These awards are the benchmark of perfection across Yorkshire’s rural community – they are a celebration of the breadth of talent, expertise, innovation and community spirit from God’s own County.

We’re absolutely over the moon to have been recognised for both our Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience and Visitor Centre Gift Shop which champions the very best of quality gifts and local produce.

The judges were blown away by our economic impact on the local community and the fact that its annual visitor numbers continue to rise. Judges also commented on how we continue to welcome and encourage other local food and drink suppliers to showcase their products at our Visitor Centre through organised cheese pairings and selling their produce in our Gift Shop.
